Born and raised in Alberta, Naomi spent her early years in Edmonton and Bonnyville before moving to Quebec for her final year of high school and CEGEP. Growing up in a franco-family, she has a deep connection to the boreal landscape where she spent many magical summers.

At the same time other Mining Engineering programs across North America were in decline and unstable.
