The Mining Industry Advisory Committee works closely with the University of Alberta to support and build upon the school’s world-leading mining engineering program.

Indigenous Relations Committee

The Indigenous Relations Committee discusses both challenges and opportunities for the resource sector in areas such as economic reconciliation and consultation with Indigenous peoples on resource projects.

Responsible Development Committee

The Responsible Development Committee works with government, member companies, and stakeholders to encourage effective, balanced policy and efficient regulation.

Resource Industry of the Future Task Group

The Resource Industry of the Future Task Group is framing an evergreen discussion paper to outline conditions required for a thriving resource sector in a low carbon world.

Metallic and Industrial Minerals Working Group

This working group is involved in the extraction of non-hydrocarbon minerals including limestone, aggregates and other products essential to society. Alberta has a huge potential to expand this sector and help diversify the economy of the province.
