Jesse Van Der Werf (CEO & President - Heavy Metal Equipment) will be presenting on the history of Heavy Metal Equipment which started over 20 years ago in Camrose, AB. He will be touching on subjects such as the benefits of renting vs owning and the recent infrastructure projects completed in Fort McKay, Spruce Grove, TATA Steel and the upcoming maintenance facility at Suncor Fort Hills. He will also speak about ITM and their partnership with them.

Scott Braithwaite, P.Eng. (Lead Long Range Planning – Canadian Natural) brings nearly 30 years of mining experience to his role leading Horizon’s long-range mine planning team. He will share how Canadian Natural is preparing for the 2030 transition from South Pit to North Pit, highlighting key technical, environmental, and regulatory challenges.
