The Energy Council of Canada will host the annual World Energy Council North America Region Energy Forum (NAREF) for 2018. Each year’s forum is an opportunity for energy leaders from the three countries to gather in a trilateral setting to discuss issues of interest and to identify ways to collaborate. The summit has been planned in coordination with the United States Energy Association and the World Energy Council – Mexico. This year, the influential energy dialogue will be held at the Telus Convention Centre in Calgary on November 14 & 15, 2018. The forum’s theme is Energy in North America: Issues, Opportunities, & Solution Pathways. The Energy Council has also included a regional session on the second day, on the topic of Indigenous Energy in Canada.
NAREF will be a full, one-day session on November 14, to be followed by a half-day regional session on the morning of November 15, on Indigenous energy in Canada. Please find included in this package a draft program for both days’ panels. Panelists and moderators are soon to be announced so be sure to check our website www.energy.ca under Events & Activities for up-to-date details leading up to the Forum. You can also follow the Energy Council of Canada on social media via Twitter, LinkedIn, or Facebook. Opportunities will be available between sessions for networking, providing the chance to connect with senior energy leaders from Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Registration is open and Member and Non-Member pricing is available.
