The ACR Resource Person of the Year is a leader who exemplifies the best of Canadian Industry, representing the qualities that make Alberta’s resource development companies some of the most prosperous, entrepreneurial and forward-thinking organizations in the world.

 

 

The dedication of ACR members to the pursuit of improved reclamation techniques has led to many innovations and has provided increasing confidence to regulators and the general public about the long-term success of reclamation in Alberta. The Major Reclamation Award reflects the importance of long-term corporate commitment to reclamation. Selection of the Major Reclamation Awards is made by Alberta Environment in an independent process.

 

 

The ACR Reclamation Citation award is given to an individual or group that has demonstrated a commitment to the reclamation of industrial lands of particular value or importance.

 

 

The Rewarding Partnerships Industry Recognition Program was created by the Alberta Chamber of Resources and Alberta Aboriginal Relations to celebrate and recognize companies and their Aboriginal partners who have demonstrated excellence in innovation, best practices in Aboriginal programs, sustainability, and capacity building.

 

 

The Alberta Chamber of Resources Award in Mining Engineering is a $2,000 scholarship awarded on grounds of both academic merit and extra-curricular achievements for second-year undergraduate students enrolled in the University of Alberta Faculty of Engineering School of Mining. The scholarships are sponsored by the mining companies in the Alberta Chamber of Resources.

 

The Ian Muirhead Scholarship is presented to the student who best combines the academic and extra-curricular achievement attributes.
